We came here for our Anniversary. We had reservations and were seated quickly. Then no one came to wait on us! My husband went up to the manager and told her we might have been overlooked. She was amazing. She personally waited on us. She comped us our first drinks, appetizers and complimentary muffins. The food was amazing. My husband has smoked salmon eggs Benedict - amazing! Huge portion! I had sourdough French Toast. This was not your average recipe. The toast sat on maple syrup and the toast was covered in lemon curd and raspberries with powdered sugar. The best! This is a good reminder to people when you don't get waited on, speak up nicely and thanks to the manager for stepping up.

I had a lovely evening at this restaurant. We went for dessert and I got the coconut cake and my friend got the crème brûlée. She didn't love her crème brûlée and because of the fruit it didn't taste like the traditional crème brûlée flavor. The coconut cake however was very fluffy and light. It had quite a bit of frosting. It was a very generous portion and I got to take some home. Overall, we had some really great service and our waiter was amazing . The aesthetic is very nice. It feels like old times and classic and has a moody vibe.

My husband booked us a reservation here for our anniversary. We were excited to visit the infamous Majestic after seeing it light up King St beautifully for years. We arrived early and managed to squeeze into the bar (it was still HH). The bartender made me THE BEST Negroni (I've become a Negroni snob) and my husband's Old Fashion was excellent as well. We loved the heavy crystal cocktail glasses that just seem proper to enjoy a stiff drink. We transitioned to a table for our 7pm reservation. There was an energetic vibe and cozy ambiance that we loved. The service was fantastic and he generously offered to take our wine back if we didn't like the bottle. We kept the wine but appreciated the gesture. We both ordered starters and entrees. My husband's Spanish Octopus was delicious, nicely spicy, and the octopus was perfectly tender. My Buratta was deliciously rich and creamy, a little on the too sweet side and I could have used a serrated knife to more easily cut through the bread. I would order again. Timing of our entrees was totally off. Our entrees were delivered to the table within 1-2 minutes after our starters showed up so our plates were squeezed to the side of our small table while we ate our starters. When finished my husband put his starter plate under his entree plate just to make room to eat his meal. My husband's Ragu Bolognese was perfectly prepared and the lamb Ragu was one of the more traditional Ragus he's had in the US. I had the halibut which sadly was very dry. It was a tasty piece of fish but all flaking was cooked out of it. It was served with some dried chilis and pancetta that added a delicious salt to the dish. We finished the evening with the Double dark chocolate mousse which was fluffy and more bitter chocolate than sweet (our preference) and the snickerdoodle crème brûlée which was overall too sweet. We're not typical dessert eaters but if we ordered again, we'd stick with the mousse next time. Favorites: Drinks & glassware Service Ambiance Ragu For improvement: Cutlery Kitchen timing We'll be back!

Sunday was my second visit to the Majestic and both times I've enjoyed my food/drinks. First time was years ago and I remember enjoying a brunch dish but what I remember more was the mimosa flight-- that was my first time having a lavender mimosa and it was so well done. They change their menu seasonally so I'm not sure if this is still on the brunch menu today. This time I went to grab drinks with my friend and we had light bites. Loved the crab rangoons (they were flavorful, hot and fresh) and the garlic aioli that comes with the fries is so good. The fries were fries, but were hot and fresh--paired with the aioli they were the perfect light bite. For cocktail, I had the Mr. Seek and that was pretty good as well-- well balanced. Ambiance has been nice there both times. The service was pretty slow-- that didn't bother us because we were just catching up but I could see it being inconvenient if you're dining on a schedule or hungry. We received a very warm greeting when we sat at the bar from (I presume) the manager. A bartender took over from him and attentiveness dropped off. It was hard to get the attention of our bartender and we had long wait times in between her checking in with us. At one point our order of fries was forgotten and it took time to get our bartender's attention to inquire about status. In total I think we waited about 30-35 minutes for the fries but, when we brought it up, they were so apologetic, quickly remedied it, and the manager came back and compensated us with a round of drinks. It wasn't the smoothest service Sunday - I think our bartender was overwhelmed, but I appreciated the service/ hospitality we received when issues arose. All in all I would give Majestic another shot when not in a hurry because the food and drinks were good, and my first experience with them was also positive.

I'm writing my review as I am sitting in the dining area right now!!! This was my first time here and the ambiance, feng shui, music, food and hospitality of the waiters and waitresses will definitely have me returning. I had the 7oz steak and eggs with sweet potato muffins....Lord have mercy!!! I tell you those muffins will melt in your mouth. Our waitress Jenna, yes, Jenna was phenomenal and well deserving of this review. Jenna I don't know if you'll see this post but if you do I want to say thank you for being so pleasant and for hooking us up. I can't wait to come back for a second visit.

The food was very wonderful. My favorites were the sweet potato muffins and the majestic breakfast. The monkey bread is worth a try as well. Our sever, Jenna was so awesome and helpful. Great customer service!!

Omg insanely good! The oxtail baklava is life changing. The pork chop is mesmerizing. The rare steak melts in your mouth like butter. The music and ambiance is fantastic, as is the service. The shirley temple is untouchable. go there now!!

First time in this place and I am loving the food! My most favorite is the grilled jumbo shrimp (with zucchini pesto and chili flakes sauce) and the pita slices with whipped feta dip. I would see myself bringing my partner here for a nice good dinner, another excuse to come back. The server was well presented and prepared, always ensure you are getting addressed. So customer service was fantastic. This is an indoor restaurant with bar and for sure anyone who would love to have a drink and bites would love the interior of this place. Also for drinks they offer variety including a pumpkin spiced espresso martini, whiskey pumpkin punch and apple pumpkin cider which was really good. Overall experience was great!

This place is amazing! The goat cheese date are awesome, and my half chicken was perfect! Jenna was super cool, attentive and very nice. The setting and atmosphere is a great vibe in my book too! Rock on Majestic and rock on Jenna!

Cute little restaurant in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, centered on King Street. The weather was nice enough for us to take advantage of the side walk outdoor seating, it was all a vibe! Great spot for any type of celebration, we saw kids going to Homecoming, couples out on date night, families just enjoying a good dinner together and if you wanted a bar to chill at, they had one there as well! Food 10/10 (the best hamburger that I've every had!) Service 10/10! Ambiance 8/10 (loud noises and cars were disruptive , we sat outside). Will definitely go back!
